General Aviation

Every day, thousands of pilots nationwide – your friends and neighbors – choose to give wings through their involvement with General Aviation flight.

One of the two Civil Aviation categories, the term General Aviation applies to all flying outside of military or scheduled airline flights. It is a category that houses both private and commercial flights, from small crop dusters to large shipping planes. Flight enthusiasts involved with General Aviation give back to the community in a variety of ways:

  • Tourism flights
  • Business flights
  • Healthcare missions (i.e. urgent medical care transportation)
  • Law enforcement (i.e. catching criminals, missing children searches)
  • Crop management (i.e. dusting)
  • Shipping of packages (primarily overnight)

William Shakespeare

As said in the famous A Midsummer Night's Dream,

"My soul is in the sky."
